Now living in Aberdeen, Gemma Hare studied Drawing and Painting at Edinburgh College of Art before training as a Primary Teacher, and continues to work part time with pupils who have Additional Support Needs. Inspired by her surroundings and nature, Gemma is best known for her bee images. Whilst painting, Gemma focuses on layering, using paint and mixed materials, creating colourful and textured paintings. Gemma hopes to raise awareness of the importance of bees and pollinators though her art work, which often incorporates text. Gemma’s range of cards, prints and homeware offer affordable and useable art, which make excellent gifts.
